I am Imanol, and I am obsessed with lifestyle brands.
My earliest recollection of a lifestyle brand is Abercrombie & Fitch, in my high school days. It was then that I learned that a lifestyle brand says something about you, influences how others perceive you, and thus how they behave around you.
Lifestyle brands have an insane impact on our social fabric because they have story-lines, they create worlds that you can escape to, they inspire you, and can transform you. It’s like magic.
Wanting to create this magic for people is what led to my career in luxury sales.
For eight years I was in the front lines of consumer journeys, and was given purview to the most irrational but fascinating behavior you could imagine. I learned that these brands mean something to people. It was my duty to keep the magic alive and protect their reputation.
Doing so meant being an active listener and asking a lot of questions, being an influencer and remaining an expert on all things luxury, romanticizing product through elegant story telling, and above all being emotionally intelligent.
I now want to take this magic to the next level. Not just execute it, but be an integral part of creating it. Which is why I have chosen a career in Brand Strategy.
It is my passion which I hope to bring to a strategic team. A team that is equally obsessed with the power of creating magic.
